Star Wars characters who should get a spin-off series: Poe Dameron

The ace pilot from the sequel trilogy, Poe Dameron would be the perfect choice to helm a star fighter-oriented series.

Dameron was one of the three main protagonists from the sequel trilogy alongside Rey and Finn, representing the new generation of Star Wars heroes. Poe led the attacks from the air on both the Starkiller Base and on Exegol, helping to lead the Resistance to victory.

While the sequel trilogy has come to a close and the Emperor and First Order are defeated, power creates a vacuum, and inevitably, another powerful force or forces will try to take their places.

If Lucasfilm wishes to one day continue the story of the Star Wars Universe after the events of Episode 9, Poe would be a great choice to base a story around.

As a skillful pilot and one of the leaders of the Resistance, Poe could travel alone or even lead a squadron of starfighters into the outer rim of the galaxy, where things would likely be the most chaotic following the fall of the First Order.

From there, a new story could be formed going in literally any direction, either as a self-contained miniseries, or setting up something much larger, culminating in a much more climactic crossover series down the line.
