Star Wars characters who should get a spin-off series: Darth Revan

A memorable character from the Knights of the Old Republic game series, Darth Revan was a Sith Lord during the time of the Old Republic, roughly 4000 years before the events of the Skywalker Saga, and would be a great choice to kick of any new Star Wars projects set during this era.

In the game, Revan was a former Jedi Knight who broke away from the Jedi Order and helped to form the Sith Empire that waged war against the Jedi and the Republic. Revan would then go on to renounce the Sith and rejoin the Jedi Order in the latter stages of the war.

Although the Knights of the Old Republic is now considered non-canon, there have been several efforts to bring Revan back into the new canon in a significant role.

Reportedly, he was intended to be included in season 3 of The Clone Wars by Dave Filoni as an ancient Sith Lord Force Ghost, but this scene was removed at George Lucas’ request, as he believed that the Force wouldn’t allow Sith Lords to exist from beyond death.

Revan was eventually canonized in a small capacity, as in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Visual Dictionary, a Final Order had a legion of troops named “Revan” after the ancient Sith Lord, meaning he does exist in the canon universe in some capacity.

Given Revan’s popularity among fans and the fact that The Mandalorian showrunner Dave Filoni wanted to include him in The Clone Wars years ago means of all the characters from the Knights of the Old Republic, he stands the best chance at being brought back into canon.

With his already established and well-regarded back story, a Darth Revan-centered live-action show would certainly be a hit among fans new and old alike.
