This is an exciting time to be a fan of Obi-Wan Kenobi! While the character’s solo series on Disney+ is still a ways to go, a little teaser from the set dropped over the weekend to give fans a look into the series.

These teasers are in no way officially from Disney and are, rather, leaked photos from the set courtesy of Just Jared. There’s a large collection of photos from this reveal. But the biggest draw, of course, is that Ewan McGregor himself was captured on photo in his costume as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

In the photos, you can see that McGregor is wearing a new set of robes, pretty much all brown from head to toe: A brown robe or tunic, brown pants and brown boots (all underneath a black robe the actors have to wear when they’re not filming.) It’s a new costume, but nothing all too out-of-the-ordinary for Kenobi and the world of Star Wars.

While we won’t share any of the leaked photos here, you can head over to Just Jared to see the full gallery of Obi-Wan Kenobi set pictures.

Indira Varma role revealed for Obi-Wan Kenobi?

More from Star Wars News

According to a consensus from Reddit and Star Wars News Net, it also looks like one of the people in the Obi-Wan Kenobi set leaks gallery is Game of Thrones star Indira Varma.

Varma’s role in the series is quite interesting because she was not part of the initial cast announcement released by Disney/Lucasfilm.

Instead, it took Deadline to confirm that she would be an additional character in this series, but there had been no information about who her character would be.

Now, the leaked photos are giving us a bit more information about who she could be playing. On the set, the actress wore a green Imperial uniform, topped off with the signature black boots and green hat. There was also a stormtrooper on set (which McGregor alluded to in a previous interview), and that means Kenobi really will have some close run-ins with the Empire in his series.

There’s also the possibility that this is a disguise that Varma’s character is wearing, and she’s not really an Imperial officer. But the former does sound very likely, and she could be a formidable foe for Kenobi as he stays in hiding from the Empire.

These are exciting updates for sure. And we’ll see the whole picture when Obi-Wan Kenobi begins streaming on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
