17. Mister Fantastic

An often-forgotten part of the Marvel Universe is the Fantastic Four. The galaxy’s greatest family formed out of unfavorable circumstances, but Mister Fantastic has been the reliable leader of it all. Reed Richards falls into this conversation in a bit of a different place, standing out not for his might but his intelligence. Richards’ scientific background rendered him one of the smartest people on Earth, a valuable skill for any Jedi to possess.

His background also leads Richards to take on a nonviolent approach, aligning with the Jedi’s desire to keep the peace rather than instigate war. Richards often adopts a patient approach to his enemies, investigating and interrogating them before turning to violence.

Keeping enemies alive comes with its risks, but it is also what the Jedi are expected to do. Anakin’s dismissal of Count Dooku is an example of the contrary. Richards’ moral and analytical approach, combined with deep affection for his family, makes Mister Fantastic an ideal Jedi. Having some extra-long reach with a lightsaber must not hurt either.
