25 Marvel characters who’d make great Jedi masters
12. Black Widow
While she undoubtedly evolved into a hero, Black Widow often lived a double life prior to devoting her life to the Avengers. Originally, Natasha Romanoff lived up to her name as one of the most lethal assassins in the galaxy, both in gadgets and by trade. Romanoff simply could not be trusted, sometimes appearing as a friendly ally only to turn around and sting someone in the back, even after she joined up with S.H.I.E.L.D. in the MCU.
Black Widow, like others in this list, carried over those skills into a life of justice, however. Upon joining the Avengers, she became an entirely different person. Ultimately, her characterization comes to depend on the group she is around, with the best of her emerging with what she sees as her real family in the Avengers and the same likely true were she to be a part of the Jedi Order. That level of attachment can become dangerous, but Romanoff lightens up behind these closed doors and tends to be the first into battle when they open.
She uses those same skills of espionage and marksmanship to take down opposing threats, find intel and execute the Avengers’ missions, all while looking out for the good of the common civilians as well. And, she developed a level of selflessness that the Jedi demand as well, fighting to be the one to sacrifice herself for the Soul stone so Clint Barton could carry out a life with his family instead.
And when it comes to weapons, there is no shortage for Black Widow. Hand her any lightsaber hilt and she’ll likely make do, having wielded batons and bracelets with ease. Ultimately, some Jedi may have a hard time coming to terms with Black Widow, but if she earned the trust of the Avengers, there is no reason the Jedi could not be the same.
