10. Iron Fist

One element of Jedi that doesn’t get discussed enough is the importance of hand-to-hand combat. Wielding a lightsaber is of course one part of that, but mastering a mythical force is another. Iron Fist does just that with power in his namesake.

Danny Rand is a master combatant, trained in martial arts, gymnastics and a multitude of fighting styles that could give him a massive laundry list of Jedi stances to browse. On top of all that, Rand has continually honed his ability to control the Iron Fist, a form of energy that stretches his physical abilities to extraordinary heights.

That power led Iron Fist down numerous crossroads, whether uniting with the New Avengers or the Defenders or singlehandedly taking down some fellow superheroes. Like many other heroes, Rand also has a tragic background, losing both his parents and as such, starting his heroism out of a pursuit for revenge. That dualism always sticks with Rand as well, someone who has struggled with understanding his emotions and becoming an Iron Fist that both lives up to its storied history yet desires to grow beyond it.

Over time, Rand has come to control those emotions, however, and most important of all, channeled his power into helping others even without fully unlocking it. That is the hallmark of an, albeit flawed, Jedi master.
