3. Doctor Strange

If the Ancient One is to be considered a Jedi master, so too is the new Sorceror Supreme, Doctor Strange. Like many others, Stephen Strange faced a revelatory moment himself, as a tragic car accident grounded the neurosurgeon and inspired him to embark on a quest to restore the hands required for his craft. Along the way, Strange’s journey became much more than just that.

Originally striving to only save himself, Strange soon delved into the mystic arts and claimed the role as Earth’s protector at a time when it needed one. And Strange also knew how to live with a target on his back in the time stone, fending off threats from places far and wide. At the same time, he did not hesitate to give away that prized possession when the fate of the galaxy depended on it. He was the only one who knew what it took for the Avengers to come out on top.

Strange has undergone a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, evolving from a successful surgeon to a desperate man and eventually the Sorceror Supreme. Compared to what he once was, that takes a tremendous level of humility. Now, he is ready to share those same abilities of foresight and mystic arts’ mastery like others have done before him.

He is also unique in his own way, possessing a willingness to both respects the rules and how thing are supposed to unfold while simultaneously breaking away when the situation calls for it. That was dangerous for Strange in his early days, but as Sorceror Supreme, it is what kept the universe safe.
