18. Daredevil

Daredevil fits the typical superhero story. His father was killed at a very young age, and despite losing his sight in a tragic accident, his other four senses became drastically heightened. All of that set Matthew Murdock up to either fight crime or create it. He chose the former.

Numerous challenges came Daredevil’s way, whether in crime boss Wilson Fisk or the mischievous Elektra. Even his own secondary life as a lawyer has come to bite him in the back time and time again, all taking place in the dangerous city of Hell’s Kitchen.

With that in mind, Daredevil’s heroism becomes even more admirable. He is a skilled martial artist with a baton, which likely translates well into a lightsaber, while also having the detective skills that the Jedi are often asked to display.

His actions certainly come with question and Daredevil walks the moral tightrope at times. However, he fell into crime-fighting out of a genuine desire to make his home a better place and also has the skills to back it up.
