Beginning this week, we’re onto watching the last half of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Granted, that’s still about eight more weeks of episodes, thankfully. But we have made it over the halfway point, and Star Wars has revealed a new sneak peek trailer for The Bad Batch for such an occasion.
In the previous eight episodes, we’ve watched the Bad Batch go from soldiers and heroes of the Grand Army of the Republic to enemies of the galaxy as declared by the Empire. Not only that, but their own teammate has turned against them. In a climactic reunion in episode 8, the group came face-to-face with Crosshair once again, narrowly escaping him and his new troop. But things took a turn for the worse as Cad Bane made a long-overdue return to Star Wars, unfortunately grabbing and running off with Omega in the process.
That leaves the story to be concluded in the final eight episodes (unless there’s a season 2), and the trailer Star Wars released today is getting us excited for that — all while teasing some new footage to look forward to later.
The Bad Batch midseason trailer
What a trailer to get you pumped for the second half of the season! There was plenty of footage from episodes 1-8 so far. But every now and then, it looks like they did include a few scenes that we haven’t seen yet.
For example, we see a new scene in which Fennec Shand and Omega are together again. That’s weird, seeing as Cad Bane was the one to capture her and not Fennec. So will Fennec come to her rescue, or will she still be after Omega to earn her credits for getting the bounty?
We still don’t even know why there’s a bounty on Omega in the first place. But it looks like the answers to those questions are right around the corner as we begin to see the second half of the season on Disney+.
New episodes of The Bad Batch stream on Disney+ every Friday.
