Rogue One, the 2016 Star Wars standalone film, takes viewers on a mission to steal the Empire’s plans for the Death Star.
If the team, led by Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor, can retrieve these plans, then they can keep the evil regime from having the galaxy’s most destructive weapon in their grasp.
The Empire’s reach has extended far and wide, bringing countless planets to yield to them. The Rebels are working to stop their reign of terror, but if they can’t find a way to take down the Death Star, their fight will be that much harder. It already feels like an increasingly losing battle as rebels fall, planets are taken, and the Empire’s power grows.
This mission is do-or-die. Either this unlikely crew succeeds or their failure introduces an era of absolute power wielded by a regime that demands obedience or death. It’s a story that will have you gripped from beginning to end.
