Will Ahsoka Tano be in The Mandalorian season 3?

Season 2 of Disney+’s The Mandalorian was like no other simply because Mando met some exciting characters on his journey to return Grogu to his people.

And, in fact, we all owe it to one character in particular for being the reason we call Grogu, well, Grogu! In the fifth episode of the season, titled “Chapter 13: The Jedi,” Mando finally found someone who could give him answers about The Child. All it took was a little help from Bo-Katan, and he was able to track down Ahsoka Tano.

There was one small issue after finding her, though. Mando wanted to find a Jedi to take up Grogu and continue his training. But Ahsoka had left the Jedi Order many years ago. She no longer followed their code, and so she did not feel she was the right person to train Grogu. Unlike the other characters, we never saw Ahsoka in any other episodes that season. But we did get a hint about what she’s been up to since we last saw her, and how that could move her story forward. So, does that mean we’ll see more of her in The Mandalorian season 3?

Will Ahsoka return to The Mandalorian?

It’s hard to say if we’ll ever see Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian again. Yes, Ahsoka did mention in Chapter 13 that she was looking for Thrawn, and that leaves open a storyline that has yet to be resolved. But as we know, Ahsoka currently has her own spinoff series coming, so we may not see her until her series airs.

There have been many rumors about what the Ahsoka series could be about, and many signs point to it being a live-action continuation of Star Wars Rebels — with her searching for Ezra Bridger. But there’s currently no release date for the Ahsoka series.

If Dave Filoni and co. want to push the Ahsoka narrative a bit further, they could use the 2022 release of The Mandalorian season 3 to do that. We likely won’t see the Ahsoka series until at least 2023 anyway. So having her appear in The Mandalorian once more would be a great way to narrow that gap since we last saw her in 2020. Add that on top of a potential Thrawn cameo as well, and it would be the perfect set-up for her new series.
