Rumor: Could we be getting Inquisitors in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series?

So, it looks like we might be getting Inquisitors in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. The rumors have existed for a while, but The Bespin Bulletin is now backing up what’s been reported as well.

According to the publication, they were told by a source who was working on the production of the series that there was what sounded like pieces of armor constructed and things described as “circular guards around the handle.” They mention this person isn’t a Star Wars fan, so they may be referring to the hilts of the Inquisitors’ lightsabers, which we’ve seen in Star Wars Rebels with the Grand Inquisitor and others who appeared.

The rumor of Inquisitors appearing, according to the article, started on May 4 when actress Moses Ingram shared a video of herself showing off her lightsaber skills on her Instagram story. After the video went viral, a source told Kessel Run Transmissions that Ingram would be portraying one of the Empire’s Inquisitors.

Live-action Inquisitors in Star Wars?

To back up that rumor, Making Star Wars (whose site currently appears to be down) reported it was not specified how many other Inquisitors would appear in the show. And that’s not all. Cinelinx claims that they heard through the grapevine, as we reported earlier, that Sung Kang from the Fast and the Furious films and We Can Be Heroes would be playing the Fifth Brother whom we know appeared in Star Wars Rebels with the Seventh Sister.

Now, Bespin Bulletin is leaning towards the rumor being true. However, descriptions and hearsay are not concrete proof of anything. Unless photos are leaked of the lightsaber hilts, we’re going to take this with a huge sprinkling of sand at least for the time being. It’s not official unless someone in the cast or crew confirms it with a photo of their costume. Just that with be enough to confirm that they’re playing Inquisitor.

So, there’s still the possibility that the information is correct. We’ll just have to wait and see what Lucasfilm reveals about the series itself.
