Fans of the spooky season will want to mark their calendars in a few months, as LEGO Star Wars will be releasing an animated Halloween special exclusively on Disney+.

StarWars.com today announced that the project, known as LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales, will be available on Disney’s streaming platform beginning on Oct. 1. This short film is just the latest in a long line of partnerships between the Star Wars brand and LEGO.

Produced in conjunction with Atomic Cartoons and described as a Halloween-themed celebration of the Dark Side, LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales will star the accomplished voice actor Jake Green as Poe Dameron. Also joining the cast are a pair of very well-known talents: Tony Hale as Vaneé and Christian Slater as Ren.

The film will take place soon after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and will see Poe Dameron travel to the iconic castle of Darth Vader on Mustafar. Along the way, he will encounter some familiar faces, such as Graballa the Hutt. As StarWars.com describes:

"“[Poe will] venture deep into the mysterious castle with Vader’s loyal servant, Vaneé. Along the way, Vaneé shares three creepy stories linked to ancient artifacts and iconic villains from across all eras of Star Wars.”"

The LEGO Group and Lucasfilm have been creating projects together for years, so this upcoming film shouldn’t come as any surprise. From building sets and video games to much more, LEGO has become an iconic part of Star Wars’ marketing toolbox. A LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special was released at the end of last year, and the game Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is still slated for release sometime in the near future.

With collaborations like this one between LEGO and Star Wars, it seems that this upcoming Halloween season should be quite the treat for fans of a galaxy far, far away. And with more Star Wars content planned for the next few years, perhaps we will see more holidays brought to life in brick form.
