Luke Skywalker’s surprise appearance in the final minutes of The Mandalorian season 2 never gets less exciting no matter how many times you re-watch it. Soon you’ll be able to recreate that same moment in your very own home.

Hot Toys, known for their high-quality (and pricey) collectibles, just announced two versions of a brand-new figure: Luke Skywalker, as we saw him in The Mandalorian season 2 finale, with and without a destroyed Dark Trooper.

The 1/6 scale figure also comes with a Grogu for Luke to hold just as he does at the end of “Chapter 16,” an LED light-up lightsaber, backdrop, and more.

The Sideshow Exclusive editions come with a hologram of Moff Gideon’s ship (regular exclusive) and a holoprojector (Deluxe exclusive).

The Collector’s Edition of the figure is the least expensive of your options at $285 (not including shipping or tax). The Deluxe Exclusive version will cost you $330 (not including shipping or tax).

Collectors of various Star Wars figures and statues may have to wait a while to get their hands on Chapter 16 Luke. But fingers crossed new episodes of The Mandalorian aren’t so far away.

It’s a safe bet at this point that we will see Luke Skywalker again at least in some capacity in additional seasons of The Mandalorian. How much, and what he’ll be doing when we see him, is still up for speculation. But we wouldn’t put it past Jon Favreau or Dave Filoni to create a reversal of at least one of the training scenes from The Empire Strikes Back in which Luke is the master and Grogu is the reluctant apprentice.

Just as long as Grogu doesn’t have to carry Luke on his back. That might be going too far.

All versions of the figure are available for pre-order and will release later in the fall of 2022.
