Star Wars and Disney Parks are promising a brand new adventure when Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser vacations begin in the spring of 2022. This event promises to be the most immersive Star Wars experience yet, and it’s all happening at Walt Disney World in Florida.

What can fans expect from the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (affectionately known as the “Star Wars hotel”)? For the two-day trip, you get to experience what it’d truly be like to be in a galaxy far, far away. Characters like Chewbacca, Rey and even Kylo Ren are reported to appear while you’re there, for example. And there will be plenty of other fun things to do.

Aboard the ship, you’ll be able to engage in some fun lightsaber training, and there will be a dining experience that even comes with a live show. And when it’s time to lay your head down for the night, your sleeping cabin will be no standard hotel room. It’ll look exactly like a fine place to bunk if you lived in the Star Wars universe.

Of course, with all these amenities, that can mean one big price tag for this vacation experience — especially considering this is Disney Parks. So, just how much will a vacation aboard the Halcyon cost you? Here’s what we know.

How much is the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser?

Rates will vary for the Galactic Starcruiser, especially considering there are three different room configurations. Those consist of the following:

  • Standard cabin (1 queen bed, 2 bunks, and 1 wall pull-down bed)
  • Galaxy Class Suite (1 queen bed and 2 wall pull-down beds)
  • Grand Captain Suite (2 queen beds, 2 bunk beds and 2 wall pull-down beds)

On the Galactic Starcruiser website, Disney has provided some estimated figures for the two-night stay for three combinations of guests. The estimated pricing for those is as follows:

  • Two guests per cabin
    • $1,209 per guest per night (or $4,809 voyage total)
  • Three guests per cabin (2 adults, 1 child)
    • $889 per guest per night (or $5,299 voyage total)
    • Four guests per cabin (3 adults, 1 child)
      • $749 per guest per night (or $5,999 voyage total)
      • So, if you plan on going with multiple people, you could be looking at spending at least $5,000, just on the voyage alone. But it’s worth reading the fine print, as Disney mentions that this price does include meals and a one-day entry ticket to Disney’s Hollywood Studios (to visit Batuu/Galaxy’s Edge):

"Package includes entry to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for one (1) day on day 2 of your experience. This admission ticket expires at midnight prior to departure date and is nonupgradable, nontransferable, nonrefundable and excludes activities/events separately priced.Package includes two (2) breakfast, two (2) lunch and two (2) dinner meals per Guest, with gratuity included for dinners; and one (1) quick-service meal consisting of one (1) entrée and either one (1) nonalcoholic beverage or, if age 21 or over, one (1) alcoholic beverage (where available), or, for Guests ages 3 to 9, one (1) combo meal from the children’s menu offerings, to be used in the theme park only."

So for some, that may be a justifiable price. For others, there’s still some sticker shock when it comes to seeing numbers that big. Either way, we know that Disney doesn’t skimp when it comes to pricing, but they also don’t skimp when it comes to the level of entertainment you get. Whether the price is justified or not, we’ll just have to wait and see what the final experience looks like when the Starcruiser begins its voyages.
