For over a decade, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has presided over some of the best, highest-grossing films to date. Save for some of the latest pandemic-era releases, Marvel was putting out billion-dollar hits with practically every movie they released in the last few years.
So, when the news that Kevin Feige would be producing a Star Wars film came out in September 2019, that made the Star Wars fandom very happy. This news came out right before The Rise of Skywalker came out in theaters that December. But still, with The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and Solo: A Star Wars Story receiving heavily mixed reviews, some fans were hopeful that Feige would be exactly what Lucasfilm needed to create a strong film.
Along those lines, some also began to wonder if that meant Feige would be taking over Lucasfilm from Kathleen Kennedy. Though that couldn’t be further from the truth, and Feige himself denied any other involvement in Lucasfilm outside of producing his one film.
Now, with the movie on the horizon in the next few years, many people are curious to know what Feige’s movie will be about. Here’s what we know so far.
Kevin Feige Star Wars movie details?
With the movie in the very early stages of production, there are very few details about what Kevin Feige’s Star Wars movie will be about. While we’ve gotten a good chunk of information about Patty Jenkins’ Star Wars movie, and we at least got a graphic for the Taika Waititi-directed Star Wars movie, Feige’s is the project there is the least amount of information about.
One thing that has been revealed to the public is that Feige has brought on writer Michael Waldron to pen the script. Waldron has previously written for Rick and Morty, but he worked more closely with Feige when it came to being the head writer for the Loki series. And he’s also penned the script for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
We talked at length about how the writing of the Loki series can reflect what’s to come with Waldron’s script for the Star Wars movie. But we haven’t got any hints about what the plot will be about. At the very least, we do know that the Skywalker saga has come to a close, so it won’t be directly related to Luke, Anakin, or even Rey (as far as we know).
But with there being a possible 4-6 year wait before this movie comes out, we likely won’t see a ton more info on this movie until we draw closer to its release date.
