If you go out to the Disney Parks on any coast in America, there’s already a themed Star Wars land out there. That, of course, is Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which can be found at Hollywood Studios in Florida and Disneyland in California. And if you want to take a bite or enjoy a drink in the world of Star Wars, you can head to Docking Bay 7, Ronto Roasters, and even Oga’s Cantina.

But each of those takes place on the ground in the fictional world of Batuu. You’re on the planet; the buildings are planted firmly there. And, unless you ride Rise of the Resistance or Smugglers Run, you don’t quite get that epic feeling of being in outer space that’s so prevalent in the Star Wars films.

Now, a new dining experience is coming from Disney Parks that promises to take guests into outer space (or as close as you can get when it comes to a simulated experience), and it has nothing to do with Star Wars whatsoever.

Called Space 220, the restaurant is coming to EPCOT — a fitting space that fits in with the Spaceship Earth and Mission: SPACE of it all. Located in the World Discovery section of the park, the restaurant will be a breathtaking one, lifting you up into the stars and giving you a panorama view of outer space as you dine. And in anticipation of the restaurant opening in mid-September, the Disney Parks Blog has shown off a first look of the restaurant in a new video, which you can watch below.

Space 220 first look

As seen in the video above, the restaurant looks absolutely stunning. The space elevator will feature a view where you can look down on Earth as you make your way to the dining room. And the dining room itself has that futuristic look which feels like it’s the dream combination between Star Wars’ aesthetic and some of the best sci-fi movies out there.

And, for the most important part… the food! Here’s what the Disney Parks Blog writes about what you can expect from the menu:

"Our Disney Imagineers are excited to have created this experience for Executive Chef Marc Kusche to showcase his culinary wonders. The Space 220 restaurant menu will feature stellar dishes and gourmet recipes, with a two-course prix fixe menu for lunch, and a three-course prix fixe menu for dinner. The upscale, contemporary fare will bring new meaning to “the height of dining!” Rounding out the meal will be unique beverages – from fine wine to atmospheric cocktails and more."
