20. Robert Pattinson

I find Robert Pattinson to be one of the more enticing options on this list. He is an actor who really seems capable of just about anything, finding his footing as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, coming to fame as Edward Cullen in The Twilight series and now taking on the next big franchise in the retelling of Batman. The only saga he is yet to hit is Star Wars.

In many ways, his situation surrounding Batman closely resembles what a reincarnation of Luke Sluwalker could look like. The Batman is being presented as a reboot of the character with a much younger version of him taking the spotlight. He both has to fit the character’s history and add his spin to it at the same time. Pattinson understands the gravity of working with such big fanbases like DC and Twilight but has the ability to meet the expectations.

There was a time when Pattinson stepped away from larger projects after his early days in acting, but that has seemed to change as of late, beginning with The Lighthouse, Tenet and now The Batman. He may currently be locked into a deal with Warner Bros. but Pattinson has everything it takes to jump into the Star Wars universe next as Luke Skywalker.
