18. Wyatt Russell

From one Russell to another, Wyatt Russell burst onto the scene as John Walker in Marvel’s Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It was perhaps the biggest surprise of the series, both in the character’s unique development and the tenacity with which Russell played him.

Walker certainly seems like a far cry from the type of leader Skywalker is expected to be, but the actor can be separated from the motivations of his on-screen compatriot. And, I will say, Russell’s portrayal of Walker reminds me quite a bit of Hamill’s as a distraught Jedi in The Last Jedi.

Regardless, Russell has quickly amassed a legion of roles both small and large in a trend that isn’t too dissimilar from that of his father, Kurt Russell. Perhaps Wyatt can take on the role that his father let go of in what would really be an incredible story. He has already proven he is immensely capable of doing it, and considering his immediate impact on Marvel fans, would likely do the same in Star Wars too.
