One can only assume that Kevin Feige is a very busy man. As the head of Marvel Studios, he’s making sure trailers don’t get leaked. Ensuring that the rightful trailers do get put out to the public. (Cough, Spider-Man: No Way Home.) And on top of that, he also gets to dabble in Star Wars, because it’s he who’ll be producing a Star Wars movie in the not-so-distant future.

Of course, there has been very little to be said about the movie so far. And, in fact, a “Kevin Feige Star Wars movie” is just about all people know about it. It’s a movie. It’s a Star Wars movie. And it’s going to be produced by Kevin Feige.

But, the ever clever Feige has given fans one more hint about his movie recently. Or rather, he removed one of the infinite possibilities that his movie could have been about. Speaking to Collider, the MCU head was asked about whether his movie would be a solo movie or something similar. His response to that question:

"It’s not about Han Solo. Han Solo is not in it, though."

No Han Solo in the Kevin Feige Star Wars movie

Well, many thanks to Mr. Feige for that big one! That certainly narrows it down. But, needless to say, the funny response technically does knock off that Solo 2 movie that many people were hoping for. That’s not to say Solo 2 won’t happen… but it definitely won’t be happening with Kevin Feige. (Unless we should start calling his bluff now?)

As a final note, Feige was also able to give the briefest of updates about the script that writer Michael Waldron is working on. As Feige says, it’s “in the works, in progress.”

So, Feige’s Star Wars movie is likely still in the early stages, and it could be a couple of years before it finally hits theaters. We know that Patty Jenkins’ Star Wars movie isn’t coming out until 2023. And that means at minimum, then, it’ll be more than two years before Feige’s movie is ready. Take into consideration that Taika Waititi’s movie has to be scheduled in, and who knows when the films will come out?

That’s why right now, it’s a TV series’ market for Star Wars with so many Disney+ TV projects coming out. Eventually, Lucasfilm will get back to putting out Star Wars movies… we’ll just have to wait for that day to come.
