Finally, LEGO is back with something news to showcase from LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and it looks absolutely incredible.

LEGO Star Wars presented during the opening night for Gamescom today (which is based in Germany), and they had a new gameplay trailer to debut. The trailer itself features that signature LEGO humor that’s featured in all of its video games, movies, and other specials. And the trailer itself is so awesome that it almost feels like a trailer for a LEGO Star Wars movie.

Of course, there’s plenty of actual gameplay present in the trailer. And we get to see that as characters run around and pilot ships in a galaxy far, far away. You can watch the new LEGO Star Wars trailer for yourself down below.

When does LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga come out?

As confirmed at the end of the trailer, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is set to come out in spring 2022. This is up from the spring 2021 date they had promised last time. But with a game of this caliber, where they are essentially starting from scratch, it looks well worth the wait.

Luckily, the game will be available on pretty much every platform. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, as well as the Nintendo Switch. So just about anyone will be able to play this game when it comes out.

As StarWars.com mentions, this game will be absolutely packed to the brim, as well. There will apparently be 20 planets that you can visit and 300 total playable characters. This is spanning all nine Skywalker saga movies, after all, so there is a lot of ground to cover.
