Two mysterious, unannounced Star Wars series pop up online

We thought we knew everything that was coming to Disney+ in relation to Star Wars this month, but we’ll have to think again.

The folks on the Star Wars Leaks subreddit spotted that there’s a mysterious Star Wars series on the horizon, and it’s coming quite soon. Already, we know that September has been billed as the big month for the anime series Star Wars: Visions to come out.

But, one of the new items to pop up in September was revealed by the Disney+ Spain Twitter account, which tweeted out everything coming to the platform over there this month. The new series is called Star Wars Galaxy of Sounds. And as noted in the graphic, these will be Disney+ shorts with seven episodes being released.

According to the graphic, Star Wars Galaxy of Sounds is set to be released on Friday, Sept. 29 in Spain. Seeing as Star Wars: Visions comes out on Sept. 22 in both the U.S. and Spain, it’s likely Galaxy of Sounds will be available on the 29th in both countries as well.

Two new Star Wars shorts series are coming

So what will Galaxy of Sound be about? While there’s no official synopsis for the series of shorts, it’s possible that the series will be similar to Star Wars Biomes and Star Wars Vehicle Flythrough. Those shorts are kind of like if computer screensavers got their own Disney+ series. And it’s a quick way to show off the Star Wars planets and ships in a couple of detailed shots.

So, Galaxy of Sounds could be something similar — like an exploration of sounds in the Star Wars galaxy. Perhaps there’s a short about the Cantina Band. Or maybe we’ll get to hear what it’s like during a space battle with ships. (Wait, is there any sound in space?)

Additionally, there seems to be another possible mystery series on the horizon as well, called Star Wars: Creatures. This was also found on the Star Wars Leaks subreddit, where a wampa shirt for Creatures reportedly showed up on Amazon prematurely. (The listing has since been taken down.) According to the person who found the Amazon link, this was the description that accompanied the shirt:

"Show off your favorite creatures from a galaxy far, far away with this adorable Wampa t-shirt celebrating Star Wars: Galaxy of Creatures. Star Wars: Galaxy of Creatures is a series of 12 animated shorts that explore Star Wars wildlife with heartwarming and hilarious vignettes. Available in youth and adult sizes."

There is one image of a design for Creatures out there, at least, and it looks like it may be a series aimed more at kids than adults. As of right now, there’s no word on when this series will come out and whether or not the series will be on Disney+.

So, there’s more coming to Star Wars than we thought this month. It might not be as big as some of the other series, but who can turn down a good surprise?
