Star Wars: Visions, the anime anthology series, makes its landing on Disney+ later this month, which means we’re a few short weeks away from another stunning Star Wars release.
The latest Star Wars project from the streamer takes viewers through nine short films animated by seven Japanese studios. The stories in each episode will work through narratives involving Siths, Jedi, powerful twin wielders of the force, a space yakuza family and more.
One of the most intriguing plots centers on a character referred to as Ronin aka a wandering samurai. His episode, “The Duel,” will be fans’ first introduction to this former Sith, however, Ronin’s story will continue in the novel Ronin by Emma Mieko Candon which debuts Oct.12, 2021.
Star Wars: Visions is a unique release for the franchise as the series is the first time anime has formally been the central medium of a Star Wars project. We doubt it’ll be the last.
Here’s when you can start bingeing the series on Disney+.
