The Disney+ Hallowstream celebration will have a new LEGO Star Wars special kicking off the festivities on Friday, Oct.1 for the streamer. LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales will reunite fans with Poe Dameron following the events of The Rise of the Skywalker for a thrilling adventure set in Darth Vader’s castle.
As a Halloween offering from Disney+, one with the word “terrifying” in its title, the question at the top of parents’ minds is whether or not this movie will be one the whole family can enjoy.
While the platform isn’t known for content that runs the spectrum from TV-Y7 to TV-MA, there are more mature shows and movies available to stream on the streamer ranging from PG-13 to TV-14. Some Star Wars content does fall into those rating categories.
Is LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales one of them? Here’s what we know!
LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales age rating
According to IMDb, this Halloween special is rated TV-G which means it is a movie the family can sit down and watch together in October for the holiday.
However, given the special is set in the Star Wars universe and is a part of the action-adventure genre, fantasy violence will be a part of the movie. Viewers should expect fight sequences, silly humor, and mildly scary thematic elements considering LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales is meant to be a kid-friendly offering for the spookiest time of the year.
The movie will cover Poe and BB-8’s time at Darth Vader’s castle where they’ll hear three stories that re-imagine events that have happened in Star Wars canon or could have happened if characters made different choices. This includes Darth Maul’s return, the Knights of Ren, and Luke Skywalker joining the Empire.
There’s also a sinister plan afoot that will see Poe and a new character Dean lured into a trap that they’ll need to escape though they’ll have to thwart an ancient evil along the way.
