The wait has been long. Months and months of anticipation about when The Book of Boba Fett will premiere. But finally, Star Wars has revealed when the Disney+ series will arrive on the streaming platform.

Announced todayThe Book of Boba Fett will officially premiere on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021. That’s right, Star Wars is moving to Disney+’s new coveted Wednesday slot. So prepare to have some late nights between Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning. (Those of us watching Marvel series like Loki and What If…? have already gotten used to that, thankfully.)

On top of that, we have an official synopsis for the series and a brand new poster! Where to start? Let’s take a look at the summary first, and then head on down to look at the post. Disney+ shared the following as the synopsis for The Book of Boba Fett:

"The Book of Boba Fett, a thrilling Star Wars adventure, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the Galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate."

And now to take a look at that key art poster, which you can see down below:

The Book of Boba Fett release date

So there you have it, The Book of Boba Fett is arriving at the end of the holiday season, Dec. 29. The perfect spot after Christmas and just before the start of the new year. And then, we can expect The Book of Boba Fett to continue on through 2022.

It’s great we have a description too, despite it being a little vague. Though, from the latest rumors not too long ago, Boba Fett will apparently be on a revenge-seeking trip during this series. And seeing as he and Fennec Shand will be navigating the “underworld” of the galaxy, it makes sense that we could expect to see a lot of Boba’s foes hanging around in the shadows.

The only thing left, at this rate, is a confirmation of the number of episodes as well as a trailer. With the Boba Fett special look coming on Disney+ Day, Nov. 12, it’s possible we can get a trailer then. But we’re certainly happy to have this new Boba Fett information today!
