Yesterday, I saw a post going around on social media of Snoop Dogg in Mandalorian armor. At first, I thought perhaps it was Photoshopped. Next, I saw a commenter say it was an old music video and the image had been recirculated. And then, I saw someone joke that he was filming for The Mandalorian season 3.

I had to ask myself, what is going on? And why is one of music’s biggest rappers in Mandalorian cosplay? Not only that, but it looks like his chosen colors for the armor were purple and gold. (Lakers fan, much?)

Please, I implore you to take a look at the D-O-Double-G yourself:

Foolishly, I decided not to investigate any further that day. And it wasn’t until today that I saw ComicBook.com report that it is, in fact, from a new Snoop Dogg music video, and I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears. Of course, I had to find out more. Why would Snoop Dogg dress up as a Mandalorian bounty hunter in his music video? What was going on? Is this his audition for the next season? If so… I mean, let’s do it.

As it turns out, the music video is for the song called “Big Subwoofer,” and it’s filled with tons of sci-fi and space movie references. It even looks like Too $hort, who is featured on this song, is wearing a version of Finn/Poe’s jacket from The Force Awakens.

You can see the music video for yourself down below. But considering this is a Snoop Dogg, E-40, Ice Cube and Too $hort song, be advised that this is NSFW, for both lyrics and other suggestive themes.

Addendum: Snoop Dogg shared this photo of himself with C-3PO. ‘Nuff said. What a way to show your love for Star Wars!

light. Related Story. Yoda’s original name is still surprising

So, if Pedro Pascal needs a new co-star in The Mandalorian season 3, he can look no further than Snoop Dogg himself for the extra help.
