When the final moments of The Mandalorian season 2 finale revealed Boba Fett would be getting his own spinoff series set in the same time period, Star Wars fans immediately began asking questions. The original Book of Boba Fett teaser showed Boba Fett taking over the throne once occupied by Jabba the Hutt, with Fennec Shand alongside him.

The first trailer for the series, released through the official Star Wars account this morning, revealed that the series will largely focus on Fett making allies (and enemies) in the underworld he now has a hand in overseeing.

Get ready for standoffs on Tatooine, sketchy meetings between the infamous bounty hunter and the many beings who don’t trust him, and all the Fennec Shand finesse and action — and so much more.

Though we see Fett removing his helmet and standing before people without it — something we’re still only used to seeing in the context of The Mandalorian — his familiar “quiet but ruthless” demeanor has not changed.

A new promo poster for the series was also released featuring Fett and Shand on the desert planet Tatooine.

Based on what we know from the trailer, Fett seems determined to “rule” Tatooine differently than his Hutt predecessor. The tried and true concept of “trust no one” is definitely one he’ll need to apply here. There are likely a lot of people who want him dead. The problem is, he may as well have already been “dead” once. It’s his chance to make up for lost time.
