2. The Mandalorian helmet and coins

Aside from trailer music, nothing else speaks to me more than symbolism. As mentioned earlier, Boba will be facing some opposition to his takeover.

Whether it be from others who refuse to answer to him or perhaps the remnants of the Rebel Alliance who don’t realize he’s been on their side at times. Well… whether he will remain a good guy has yet to be seen.

Regardless, the tossed Mandalorian helmet full of coins is both symbolic of Boba holding the head of Jango Fett as a child and of the price of a Mandalorian’s head. The amount of money falling from the helmet means several things but probably most importantly, who has put the bounty on Boba’s head?

Will it be one of Jabba’s captains or someone else entirely? The timing of the image and the following battle scene is impressive and a nail-biter!

Who are those masked warriors and why are they trying to kill Boba and Fennec?

1. B’omarr Order

Last but certainly not least is the appearance of the B’omarr order. At the very beginning of the trailer, we see this spider-like creature moving through the desert.

The first appearance of the B’omarr order was actually in Return of the Jedi, which is rather fitting considering Jabba the Hutt’s palace was once their monastery. According to Wookieepedia: “B’omarr monks was a religious order that believed in isolating themselves from all physical sensation to enhance the power of their minds. To that aim, enlightened monks had their brains transplanted into nutrient-filled jars.”

As a result, we get these large spider-like droids which are terrifying for those who are not fans of spiders to begin with. The fact the trailer decides to open with the image of one moving creepily really sets the tone for Tatooine.

It’s a callback to those who remember them and something different for those who aren’t familiar to see. It’s a nice touch worth mentioning in this list.
