15. Boba Fett has one of the most collectible toys of all time

Star Wars merchandise is some of the most collectible stuff out there, thanks to George Lucas’ shrewd business strategy from the beginning to incentivize audiences to watch his films with toys, comics, and other hot ticket items.

While Boba Fett was already an iconic character with highly sought-after toys, a rare version of the Boba Fett action figure was released in 1979, a year before his official on-screen debut, that is one of the most collectible toys of all time, regardless of the franchise.

The Boba action figure featured a tiny projectile that fired from Boba’s classic jetpack, a cool feature for a toy, but an obvious safety issue and choking hazard, forcing the figure to be recalled.

Avid collectors believe there are still a few dozen copies of the toy in existence, which places their value well into the six figures when they do go on sale. For those looking to make extra cash, it might be time to go through the old Star Wars toys in the attic.

However, the most hardcore fans are likely unsurprised at Boba’s enduring value as all sorts of Boba Fett toys and memorabilia are highly prized and collected by fans of all kinds.
