5. Boba Fett is a clone with a Mandalorian legacy

Due to the look of his armor, and his mysterious debut, the exact origins of Boba Fett were a big question mark in the Star Wars canon for many years. At long last, in Attack of the Clones, Boba’s backstory, along with the clone conspiracy, was revealed.

His father, Jango Fett, was the original genetic donor for the clones, spawning an entire generation of clone stormtroopers for the Republic Army and eventually the Empire after Order 66 was activated.

Furthermore, Jango asked the Kaminoan scientists for one unaltered clone to raise as his own child, giving him Boba as a son. However, throughout the film, we also saw Jango engage in a fight with Obi-Wan and wear Mandalorian armor.

As it turns out, while not a Mandalorian himself, Jango was a Mandalorian foundling, giving him his strict honor code that Boba carried on in his own bounty hunting. Though Jango died young, he had begun to instill some of the Mandalorian way into Boba, including his understanding of the Clan Fett honor code.

Boba would go on to honor his father and his adoptive forefathers’ legacies by finding his way as a ruthless but honorable bounty hunter, seen through his service to Mando and the Child.
