2. Qi’ra
A lot of Star Wars continuity has been explored through various Marvel Comics titles in the years since Disney purchased Lucasfilm, and part of that exploration in some of the most recent titles has been centered on the events taking place between the end of The Empire Strikes Back and the beginning of Return of the Jedi.
Specifically, the crossover event War of the Bounty Hunters focused on how Han, frozen in carbonite, came to be in Jabba the Hutt’s possession. It’s a wild ride that has Boba Fett losing Han on the way back to Tatooine and having to get him back from a character from Han’s past: Qira. Introduced in the standalone film Solo, Qira was once the love of Han’s life, having grown up surviving the mean streets of Correlia together, but as Solo revealed, she grew up to be a mysteriously powerful and cunning leader of Maul’s Crimson Dawn crime syndicate.
Though Solo was originally planned as the beginning of a multi-film origin story for Han Solo, plans for a sequel were abandoned after the film performed less than Disney had hoped at the box office. War of the Bounty Hunters reintroduced Qira back into the story, and given the character’s popularity with fans and her recently revealed connection to Boba Fett, it would be fun to see her character, played by Emilia Clarke in Solo, appear in The Book of Boba Fett.
