21. Cobb Vanth

The character of Cobb Vanth was introduced in an interlude in Chuck Wendig’s Aftermath trilogy of novels, which take place immediately after the original trilogy. A former slave on Tatooine, Vanth somehow acquired the Mandalorian armor of Boba Fett and used it to bring order to his hometown of Mos Pelgo on Tatooine.

He became known as the Marshal and served as a keeper of the peace with it. He kept the armor until Din Djarin came along and promised to help Vanth and the people of Mos Pelgo kill the Krayt dragon that was terrorizing them in exchange for the armor, which Mando believed rightfully belonged to the Mandalorian people.

Though Vanth gave up possession of the armor to Mando, fans would love to know more about the character played by Timothy Oliphant in The Mandalorian, and given his residence on Tatooine, an appearance on The Book of Boba Fett seems possible. How would a confrontation between Boba Fett and the man who had possession of his armor for so long go? Boba Fett lived on Tatooine and surely knew that his armor was being used by Vanth, so why did he never try to take the armor before. Would the two characters be friends, or would they be in conflict?
