23. The Clones

One of the most interesting developments of Boba Fett’s character in the prequel trilogy was the simple fact that all of the clones in the Grand Army of the Republic share the same face as Boba Fett. As clones of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, all of the clones look identical with only slight variations in hair. In the original trilogy, Boba Fett is always wearing his infamous Mandalorian mask, but fans didn’t know at the time (and probably George Lucas hadn’t thought of yet) that Boba Fett was a clone just like the clones who participated in the Clone Wars.

Because Boba Fett was an unaltered clone of Jango and didn’t have the age progression of the other clones, Boba grew up in a world where all of the clones had the face of his father. A face that he himself would grow into as well.

What effect did sharing a face with the infamous clones of Jango Fett have on Boba? Not much is known about the clones after the Clone Wars. Rex, Gregor, and Wolf appear in Star Wars: Rebels and help the Rebel Alliance fight against the Empire, but it would be fun to see Boba Fett encounter one of the clones in The Book of Boba Fett.
