25. Grand Admiral Thrawn

Thrawn has been a fan favorite character ever since his introduction in Timothy Zahn’s trilogy of novels commonly referred to as the Thrawn Trilogy. Although those stories are considered non-canon under Disney’s Star Wars continuity, the character was introduced into the official canon in Star Wars: Rebels as well as two trilogies of novels by Timothy Zahn.

It isn’t currently known what role Thrawn plays in the galaxy after his disappearance with Ezra Bridger to some unknown location in the galaxy at the end of Star Wars: Rebels, but in the season two episode of The Mandalorian in which Ahsoka appears, she’s on a search for Thrawn, presumably because she believes he can shed light on Ezra’s whereabouts. When Disney purchased Lucasfilm in 2012, many fans hoped that the sequel trilogy would adapt, at least in part, Zahn’s Thrawn Trilogy, giving us a live action version of this fan favorite villain.

But Disney took a completely different direction. We have yet to see Thrawn in live action, and he’ll probably play a role in the Ahsoka Disney+ series, but Boba’s ability to track people would make him an excellent candidate for an appearance in The Book of Boba Fett as well.
