5. Mandalore

Mandalore has a deep and rich history within the Star Wars universe. The home of ancient warriors who once fought against the Jedi, Mandalore throughout its history was a planet filled with ongoing warfare.

During The Clone Wars, Duchess Satine led the people of Mandalore to peace and pacifism, but zealots wanted a restored warrior-driven Mandalore, and former Sith Lord Maul had Satine executed before taking over as ruler of Mandalore. After the Clone Wars, Mandalore continued to suffer under the Empire’s oppression, and the planet became essentially inhospitable.

Though Boba Fett himself did not grow up on Mandalore, his legendary armor came from Mandalore and once belonged to his father, bounty hunter Jango Fett. The season two finale of The Mandalorian left Mandalore in the precarious position of being under the rule of Din Djarin because of his possession of the Darksaber.

Because Fett helped to bring Mando into the unintended rulership of Mandalore and because of Mandalore’s checkered history, The Book of Boba Fett would be a great opportunity to further explore this fan-favorite world once more. It would also be a great opportunity to explore Boba Fett’s connection to it by digging into Jango Fett’s Mandalorian history.
