Can you imagine Tom Holland in the Star Wars universe? Well, it’s been recently reported that Tom Holland talked about a failed audition for a character in 2015. The honesty from Holland in his Hot Ones interview reinforces his clear likability, and one of the reasons why he’s adored in his role as Spider-Man.

Tom Holland opens up about both beloved franchises, in Star Wars and the MCU, and it represents his understanding of how big those two worlds truly are. He explains his initial gaff in the audition as he can’t keep out “the giggles” after another person reads her lines as a robot. It’s honest and totally relatable, right? Imagine keeping a straight face as someone reads “beeps” and “boops” opposite of you, which seems impossibly funny, and it kind of makes Holland even more likable.

Although he mentions that this little blip didn’t prevent him from getting the role, he admitted, “I think John Boyega was just better for the role than me.” Holland gives credit to Boyega’s ability to earn the Star Wars’ role, which further endears him to the masses, in my humble opinion.

Now that this sincerity is out in the open, I wonder, does this mean he couldn’t find himself in Star Wars in some shape or form in the future? Let’s explore this notion, please, because he’s such an incredible person who seems to truly value the roles he takes on. As he wraps up his interview, he discusses the importance of Spider-Man and what it means to him.

“It’s such an honor for me to play Spider-Man for all this time. And for it to come to this point, honestly, he means the world to me.”

Knowing that Tom Holland truly understands and appreciates such an iconic character, it’s safe to say he would equally appreciate any role he were to take in Star Wars. What role would we love to see him play? Try imagining him doing epic flips with a blue lightsaber in his hand. Maybe he would be a loveable, sarcastic gunslinger side-by-side with Han Solo. Although I don’t know if I can see it immediately, imagine him shrouded in darkness with a hood covering most of his face, when a red lightsaber ignites in his hand.

If anything, let your mind wonder about the possibilities while enjoying the fun Hot Ones’ interview with Sean Evans over on First We Feast. You’ll enjoy his journey through very spicy wings, but beware parents as you’ll see Spider-Man himself drop some explicit words that you may not want your kids to hear.
