Assassin. Bounty hunter. Scoundrel. First introduced in The Mandalorian, Fennec Shand has quickly become a fan-favorite character on the small screen and … even smaller screens? She’s been part of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes for a time, but figuring out the best strategy for her in the game can be a bit challenging.

Fennec Shand’s Marquee Event opens again today for a limited time, so while you’re mining more shards for the notorious bounty hunter (or you’re just unlocking her for the first time), here’s a quick rundown of how to win with the character according to Galaxy of Heroes developers.

Fennec is classified as a Dark Side character (serves her right after how she treated Omega in The Bad Batch), Attacker, Bounty Hunter, and Scoundrel. Her Leader ability is a bit tricky, since it doesn’t follow the exact same rules as other Leaders you might be used to in the game.

In terms of synergy, Fennec works best when fighting in a smaller group or offering support to other bounty hunters or Scoundreals such as The Mandalorian (Beskar Armor), Boba Fett, IG-11, and gone-but-never-forgotten ugnaught Kuiil. This means that she would be a beneficial leader to use in completing challenges that call for undersized squads, such as Grand Arena.

While this might seem confusing, since Fennec comes with a Leader ability that would ideally make her stronger in that position with a full squad, developers specify that she’s actually better as a Leader with fewer squad members. And it’s actually possible to fulfill Fennec’s contract (which grants her enhanced abilities) with Scoundrel-class units, not just bounty hunters.

Currently, Fennec Shand shards are available through Chromium Packs and purchasable with several bundles. You can also farm shards in one of the Light Side hard modes, and through spending crystals in the Weekly Shipments section. Her Marquee Event also opens again today.
