Throughout the many years of Star Wars, we’ve seen plenty of famous faces take on minor roles. Despite the fact that they’re sometimes covered up with a Stormtrooper helmet or only lending their voice to play a droid, it’s still really fun discovering who’s been a part of a galaxy far, far away. Mark Hamill’s son Nathan took on roles in The Phantom Menace and The Last Jedi, while A-lister Daniel Craig appeared in The Force Awakens.

And when it comes to the Star Wars shows on Disney+, we’ve seen even more awesome cameos. Just a few of the celebrities to appear in The Mandalorian include Taika Waititi, Jason Sudeikis and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee. Now that The Book of Boba Fett has premiered its first episode today, we can expect this trend to continue.

Matt Berry voices a droid in The Book of Boba Fett

After watching the first episode of The Book of Boba Fett, titled “Stranger in a Strange Land,” many viewers were quick to recognize a familiar voice. Actor Matt Berry, who is best known for his role as Laszlo Cravensworth in What We Do in the Shadows, plays a droid working with Boba at the former palace of Jabba the Hutt.

Decider notes that while Berry’s character is the same model as the memorable torture droid 8D8 from Return of the Jedi, he’s actually called UK2-B. He has a minor role in the first episode, and while he could continue to pop up throughout the rest of the season, Boba Fett does note that he and Fennec Shand need to get a protocol droid.

Of course, viewers are already taking to Twitter to express their excitement over Berry’s small role.

Another cameo in the first episode comes from well-known actress Jennifer Beals, who plays a Twi’lek named Garsa Fwip. It’s certainly possible we’ll see her again in future episodes.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated with other celebrity cameos we’re bound to see in The Book of Boba Fett. Don’t miss new episodes when they premiere every Wednesday morning on Disney+.
