It seems as though more cancellations are happening at the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. The Star Wars-themed hotel, set to open March 1, 2022, has not been receiving a lot of positive feedback as of late.
Fans negatively responded to the trailer, which Disney removed, and were far less impressed with the release of the Welcome Video (for those who booked a trip) as you can watch here. As a result, there have been plenty of openings at the hotel.
Is this due to the fact that fans are displeased by what they are seeing? Or could it be that guests booked the hotel immediately and realized afterward it wasn’t the ideal time?
According to WDW News Today, “The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser has a strict payment and cancellation policy. Cruises must be paid in full 90 days before arrival, and any cancellations beyond the 90 day mark will only receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 30 days will not be eligible for a refund.”
Booking your stay at The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser probably just got easier as more cancellations occur.
Those are some pretty definitive terms. Even if you receive a 50% refund, you are still losing quite a bit of money.
The same website is reporting that April and June now have several more openings available. What is more shocking is that both July and August are completely available.
Yes, both months! September isn’t far behind with only two dates booked.
Disney still has some time before opening day to make necessary and perhaps even unforeseen changes. Will the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser be anything like Disney hoped or planned it would be?
