We are only two episodes into The Book of Boba Fett and excitement is already building for what is to come. So far, the plot has primarily focused on Fett’s backstory, escaping the Sarlaac pit and surviving in the sands of Tatooine. However, with a few new adversaries introduced in episode two, things are beginning to take shape in anticipation of a major climax.

Recently, Temuera Morrison echoed that same sentiment, saying there are some major surprises to be revealed, specifically in the season finale. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Morrison expressed his excitement with the following:

"Yes, full of surprises. The Book of Boba ‘full of surprises’ series … Yeah, we’ve got some good stuff coming up. Ooh, wait till episode seven, wow!”"

Now, while Morrison is expectedly attempting to build some intrigue around the show, his reference to the season finale, episode seven, is particularly interesting. It is clear thus far how much inspiration The Book of Boba Fett has taken from its live action counterpart, The Mandalorian, which has a track record of surprising finales itself.

The season one conclusion, “Redemption,” revealed that Moff Gideon possessed the darksaber, making him a much more significant villain than it seemed. Months later, season two delivered an even bigger bombshell with Luke Skywalker entering the picture to claim the child.

Will there be stories past season one for The Book of Boba Fett?

It might not be far too expect something of that magnitude for The Book of Boba Fett, but considering the number of rumors that have cropped up in recent months, a major cameo from another character in the Star Wars universe certainly is not out of the question, especially after Morrison’s quote.

Another interesting aspect of this topic is considering whether The Book of Boba Fett will live beyond a single grand finale. On one hand, it always seemed this show was a temporary spinoff to satisfy those craving content during the respite from the world of the Mandalorian. But with only five episodes to spare and a thrilling season finale looming, maybe there is another season in store. You certainly won’t find me complaining about that.
