Yellowjackets star Sophie Thatcher debuts in The Book of Boba Fett: Who does she play?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve at least heard the buzz surrounding Showtime’s new series Yellowjackets. The drama premiered in November, purposefully airing new episodes right after Dexter: New Blood, which certainly attracted viewers. The show has been met with critical acclaim for both its storyline and performances, and actress Sophie Thatcher is quickly becoming a breakout star.

Yellowjackets fans were excited to see Thatcher landed a role in The Book of Boba Fett, and her debut episode, “The Streets of Mos Espa,” just premiered today on Disney+. The 21-year-old star somehow out-cooled herself with this character, and it didn’t take long for Twitter users to share their excitement over the role.

Who does Sophie Thatcher play in The Book of Boba Fett?

As the new Daimyo in town, Boba Fett is in charge of everything that goes on in Tatooine. During episode 3, he meets a group of bikers who have been stealing water, something Thatcher’s character Drash explains was because they couldn’t afford to buy it. Instead of punishing the gang, Boba Fett offers them jobs to work for him.

Though Drash isn’t a major character in The Book of Boba Fett just yet, she does make an impression and has a few big scenes this episode. Later on, she even stabs the Wookie bounty hunter Black Krrsantan without hesitation. As of right now, Thatcher’s IMDb page only lists this episode for her Boba Fett credits, but with how badass her character is, we really hope we’ll see her again.

The actress announced she’d be joining Star Wars in December, sharing a short teaser she appeared in to Instagram. “So happy I can finally post about this but [it] was an absolute honor to be [a part] of the Star Wars universe,” she wrote. Of course, her followers were quick to show her love in the comments section, with one person saying, “Beyond rad [flame emojis] congrats!!!!,” and another adding, “OH. MY. GOD. I need to pre-order your action figure TODAY. Total chills with excitement for you.”

Sophie Thatcher wasn’t the only familiar guest star we got to see in this week’s episode. Stephen Root made an appearance, as did the one and only Danny Trejo!
