Star Wars: 1313 is a now-canceled game set in the Underworld of Coruscant. Coruscant’s Underworld is another side of Star Wars that we usually don’t get to see. It’s gritty, dangerous, and away from the prying eyes of the Jedi Council. We have seen many people get eaten up by the corruption and crime lords that run the Underworld.

Star Wars 1313 was going to give us a detailed look into how the crime world works, and the chance to see a different Star Wars Story. We get to see the Star Wars world through the eyes of Boba Fett.

The released footage shows us what the game would have looked like using Unreal Engine 5. It gives us the bustling streets of Coruscant, filled with people just trying to get by. In some ways, this is reminiscent of what we have seen so far in The Book of Boba Fett. There have been some rumors that The Book of Boba Fett has been inspired by the canceled show Underworld. Underworld is also said to have helped craft 1313. While Underworld was canceled, there were over 100 planned episodes and 50 scripts written before George Lucas canceled the project in 2010.

We may never get to see the exact details of either of these projects but hopefully, the work that has been done so far will not be wasted. The gameplay shows some mechanics that are reminiscent of Jedi: Fallen Order, with fall running as Boba Fett chases after bounties. To follow this up there has been an announcement by EA and Respawn (who helped create Jedi: Fallen Order) to create several new games, including a first-person shooter.

While we don’t know any more relevant details we can hope that all this work will not be wasted by Respawn and EA as they make more exciting Star Wars games. Whatever the timeline, or main character, we will always miss the chance to be the infamous Boba Fett in his prime.
