This post contains SPOILERS for The Book of Boba Fett “Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor.”
The Book of Boba Fett‘s latest chapter has arrived, and fans are rightfully expecting some kind of teaser after the credits roll.
We can largely blame The Mandalorian Season 2 for this, though the Marvel Cinematic Universe has truly made this practice and expectation as widespread as it is now. That post-credits scene was when The Book of Boba Fett was first announced over a year before it would eventually premiere on Disney+. Many are wondering if there’s a reason to keep watching Book of Boba after the final shot for something special.
There is a small scene in the middle of the credits at the end of Chapter 7, and it does imply we will see at least one character again in future projects, though what those projects might actually be has been left up to guessing.
During the scene, we zoom in on the bacta pod to reveal Cobb Vanth in a healing state. The mod specialist who gave Fennec Shand another chance at life prepares to modify Vanth in a similar manner to keep him alive, which likely means we will see him again at some point. He’ll either appear in a future Book of Boba Fett season (if we get one) or another installment of The Mandalorian.
The introduction of mods in this series remains a highly interesting addition with implications for future Star Wars stories and conflicts. We will probably see more of them, or at least this technology, sooner rather than later.
The Mandalorian Season 3 is likely the next installment of this particular story, though there are other Star Wars series debuting and returning to Disney+ before that will likely happen. We’ll keep you updated on all these shows and more as they come out.
The Book of Boba Fett is streaming now exclusively on Disney+.
