Who dies in The Book of Boba Fett chapter 7?

This post contains spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett “Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor.”

The finale for The Book of Boba Fett was full of unexpected turns, appearances, and a few characters leaving the Star Wars Universe forever. In Episode 6 of The Book of Boba Fett, we saw the appearance of the infamous bounty hunter Cad Bane. This Jedi hunting warrior gruesomely shot up the Marshall Cobb Vanth and left him for dead setting up the combat between Pyke Synditacte and Boba Fett’s alliance of bounty hunters.

And the Pyke’s came to fight, with dozens of Pyke Footsoldiers, Cad Bane himself, and a pair of virtually indestructible Scorpenek Annihilator droids. Initially, Boba’s forces are spread across Mos Espa, thinking that the Marshall would arrive with reinforcements from Freetown. When Cad Bane tells them they aren’t coming, Boba Fett and Din Djarin start a desperate attempt to fight against everyone. After that, an epic battle ensues with reinforcements from Freetown, and even Boba’s pet rancor is brought in to help defeat the annihilator droids.

At the end of the day, there are remarkably few deaths throughout the battle. Most of Freetown’s soldiers don’t get killed by the annihilator droids even at point-blank range, only a few of the biker gang died, and really the only people who were killed en masse were the Pykes and the villainous leaders of Mos Espa. The one stand-out character that died was Cad Bane, who died in a duel that harkened back to his original duel with Boba Fett.

After virtually all the other combatants have been neutralized, we see Cad Bane and Boba Fett duel once again. While Cad Bane was quickly on the draw, he gets too close to Boba and Boba using the Gaffi stick to knock him down and stab him in the chest. While it seems fairly obvious that Cad Bane dies, there is a theory that the light on his chest is a heart monitor that never stops and that Todo will come and save him.

Regardless of the theory the major characters we see die in the last episode of The Book of Boba Fett are Cad Bane, Mayor Mok Shaiz, Don Garfalaquox of the Aqualish family, the Klatooinian Don, and Dokk Strassi of the Trandoshan family.

For now, it seems that Boba Fett has risen victorious.
