This post contains spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett “Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor”
At the end of The Book of Boba Fett, we see Grogu has made the impossible choice to go back to Din Djarin. While he left Luke’s Jedi Order, that doesn’t mean that he didn’t learn anything along the way. At the ending of The Book of Boba Fett, we see Grogu stop Boba Fett’s baby rancor using the Force. There is another Jedi who has a great ability over other creatures, Ezra Bridger.
Ezra Bridger is a Jedi Knight trained by Kanen Jarrus during the early days of the Rebellion. Ezra fought alongside legends such as Captain Rex, Ahsoka Tano, and Sabine Wren until his final battle with Grand Admiral Thrawn. During that final battle, Ezra called upon the hyperspace capable animals known as the Purrgils. These animals threw both Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn into unknown space, setting up the possibility of the Ahsoka series.
Throughout both of the shows, we see Ezra and Grogu often have intense interactions with creatures of all types. Ezra has interacted with many types of animals including the fabled Loth Wolves and certainly would see to be able to be powerful enough to properly calm rancor. Even further evidence is that we have often seen Ezra interact with dozens of creatures at a time. This would seem to indicate that Grogu and Ezra have more in common than we expected.
As Grogu is going to be extremely powerful and long-lived there is a good chance that Ezra Bridger and Grogu may meet sometime. With the Ahsoka series coming up soon, and Din Djarin’s knowledge of Ahsoka we may even see that meeting sooner than we are expecting. Perhaps we will get to see these two together, and they will get the opportunity to discuss the situation in person?
Season 1 of The Book of Boba Fett is streaming now exclusively on Disney+.
