Make some room on your Star Wars bookshelf — there’s a new collection of comics coming in July. Dark Horse Comics will release an omnibus of Star Wars: Rebels minicomics, which were originally released in Star Wars: Rebels Magazine from 2015 to 2017.

Comics catalog Previews World teased the new collection coming July 6, 2022, which collects #1-35; #37 and #39 from Star Wars: Rebels Magazine and #1-4 of Star Wars: Rebels Animation Magazine.

The authors of these comics include Jeremy Barlow, Alec Worley and Martin Fisher with art from Robert Molesworth, Ingo Romling, Eva Widermann, Ruairi Coleman and Cosmo White.

Titan Comics originally published Rebels Magazine in the U.S. with the last issue arriving Oct. 20, 2016. However, the magazine continued to release issues until Dec. 20, 2017, in Germany. Then came Rebels Animation Magazine.

The new collection will likely include several comics that have never before been printed in the U.S.

The new Rebels comic collection will be among the first Dark Horse Star Wars offerings to come out since the announcement of collaboration between the comic publisher, Lucasfilm and Disney World Publishing.

While we don’t yet know what new Star Wars comics will come from the renewed partnership, Dark Horse founder and CEO Mark Richardson said:

"“The idea is to build up a Star Wars program that includes an on-going series as well as an anthology. Mixed in would be one-shots and specials. We’ll see where we go from there. Initially, we will focus on stories featuring the High Republic.”"

Beyond the High Republic era — set hundreds of years before The Phantom Menace — the new Dark Horse comics will feature stories from throughout the Star Wars timeline, including during the most “current” era of the Resistance and the First Order.

Dark Horse will also publish The Art of Star Wars: Visions in July — a collection of stunning artwork from the groundbreaking anime series released on Disney+ last year.

“Dark Horse has a rich history publishing Star Wars comics and graphic novels. Star Wars is near and dear to all of our hearts and I’ve been a fan since I saw the original film nineteen times during its original release. I am thrilled that Dark Horse will once again bring new stories to life from this incredible galaxy and I’m not exaggerating when I say we can’t wait to bring these new adventures to fans of every age,” Richardson said in the announcement’s release.

Star Wars fans, of course, know Rebels the animated series follows the crew of the Ghost as they work with the Rebel Alliance on covert missions to fight the Empire. The series is set 14 years after Revenge of the Sith and five years before the events of A New Hope.
