Reylo: A love story that began on the Galactic Starcruiser

Despite the somewhat rocky start of the Galatic Starcruiser in the public eye, it seems that Disney is still committed to continuing the expansion of the next jewel in their crown. With recent announcements of things such as personalizable lightsabers as part of the pricey price tag for the two-day excursions.

The Galactic Starcruiser experience costs anywhere from 4,800 to 6,000 for the two nights and has enough amenities to be comparable to a cruise. This experience had its own storyline about the ship Halcyon. This storyline seemed to focus on a secret Resistance mission to root out the First Order, and a visit to Walt Disney World’s outpost on Batuu.

That is until we have received some new news about casting for the Starcruiser. The Lucasfilm Story Group put out news that

“There’s a love story on board… and we’ll get to see some of the characters that we know and love from the films, including Rey and Kylo, who will actually meet up again for probably the first, and maybe the only, time between [The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker].”

This moves the visit to the Galactic Cruiser from a cool experience to a very unique story point for the Star Wars Universe. This casting call was put out for a “Scavenger Hero” with a particular interest in a faltering Kylo Ren. The Direct posted the full monologue as posted by Disney Auditions.

Interestingly enough this is not the first time that a famous Disney couple will be interacting on the Halcyon. The novel is set to cover Leia and Han Solo’s wedding, and their romance as they honeymoon. Obviously, Disney is attempted to have a lot of famous characters set upon their ship, but only time will tell if the public will be just as accepting as the other famous characters. For now, we can settle in and accept the neverending amount of content focused on that ship.
