In 2019, fans from all over the world gathered in Chicago, Illinois to attend the highly-anticipated Star Wars Celebration event. Many thought the following year would bring even more galaxy far, far away fun to the masses, but the 2020 event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, fans got official confirmation that the event would be happening in-person in 2022 with the announcement that tickets would be going back on sale.

According to the official Star Wars Celebration Twitter account, tickets for the 2022 event will go back on sale on March 15 at 12 PM ET/9 AM PT. However, there will be a limited number of tickets available to the general public and are expected to sell out quickly.

In order to keep its staff, guests, and attendees safe, Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022 is officially requiring proof of vaccination from everyone ages 5 and above. Those attending under the age of 5 will only be admitted with proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

Additionally, everyone attending the event will be required to wear an approved face covering at all times. These precautions are set so that everyone can have a safe and enjoyable experience while gathering in large crowds for the event.

It’s yet to be announced what Star Wars fans can expect to be revealed at the event in terms of trailers, show or movie announcements, or other updates on upcoming projects. But as with Star Wars Celebrations past, the full event is likely to be filled with fun for all in attendance.

More information about the event, panels, guests and more will likely become available over the next several months. For now, get ready for all the announcements, fun, and more we’ve been waiting for — it’s finally almost here.
