Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres May 25 on Disney+. The six episode limited series takes place after Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Obi-Wan has managed to stay out of the Empire’s clutches and, while his hope is thin, he’s determined to keep Anakin’s son, Luke Skywalker, safe.

Prior to the release of the official trailer for the show, there had been a question of whether Luke would have a genuine presence in the series or if he would simply be referenced. Though the trailer only features a glimpse of the boy, it was enough to get fans hype for how he might fit into the story.

His uncle, Owen (Joel Edgerton), had been shown in first look images dealing with a confrontation with Inquisitor Reva (Moses Ingram), so we do know that Luke’s well being is under threat in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. With this plot immediately grabbing viewers, we hope to see more than shots of Obi-Wan watching over Luke from a distance.

Who’s playing young Luke in the series? Here’s what we know.

Grant Feely has taken up the mantle of the galaxy’s new hope. Luke Skywalker is his second acting credit. He was featured in a segment of Creepshow. The young actor has received a warm welcome into the Star Wars franchise from Mark Hamill who had the following to say on Twitter:

While it’s unknown how much Feely is shown in Obi-Wan Kenobi, it’ll be nice to see a young version of the galaxy’s beloved hero in a live-action series. There are also rumors that Princess Leia will make an appearance and feature in a storyline involving Obi-Wan having to save her from a kidnapping.
