What is the Obi-Wan Kenobi series about? (synopsis and show details)
By Sabrina Reed
Obi-Wan Kenobi, Disney+’s latest live-action Star Wars series, will make its debut in May on the streamer. Since the show was announced, fans have been clamoring for information.
We know that the series is set in the years following Episode III: Revenge of the Sith with Obi-Wan guarding Luke Skywalker from afar. His presence on Tatooine, however, will put the boy in danger as the Inquisitors are on the hunt for Jedi that escaped Order 66.
As such, Luke’s uncle Owen is set against Obi-Wan’s involvement in his young charge’s life and must stand in the way of Inquisitor Reva when she begins making inquiries that could spell trouble for his nephew. There are also rumors that both Princess Leia and a clone played by Temuera Morrison will make an appearance.
The biggest reveal thus far, however, has been Hayden Christensen’s return as Darth Vader. The reunion between him and Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan has fans on the edge of their seats in anticipation for the series. Everyone knows the inevitable fight between the two will be one of the best sequences to come out of the streamer’s live-action series. Thankfully, we won’t have too much longer to wait.
